What other skills to use with barrage?
I made a ranger for the hell of it and ive noticed that barrage is really a stand alone skill. While im spamming it I neglect my other skills. I would just like to know what your opinions are to what skills I should place on my bar?

my suggestions:
The 2 interupts ranger has savage and distracting shot. Troll, a stance,a spirit of you want. You can also bring a skill that enhances barrage like conjure flame or brutal weapon. You can bring vigorous spirit together with infuse if you wish, just make sure to let your monk know why your health drops all of a sudden if your hitting a few enemies your lost health should be gained in 2 or 3 shots. And you can also bring your pet. There are a lott of options but like you said barrage would be the skill that you will be spamming, so just take that into consideration and bring skills that or somewhat conditional, disrupt for interupting skills, infuse to help a monk,conjure for extra damage etc. |

Barrage
"Watch Yourself" Frenzy Distracting Shot Savage Shot/Troll Unguent Whirling Defense/Troll Unguent Favorable Winds Rez Sig. If you are near your caster allies when Barraging, you can keep up constant "Watch Yourself" to boost nearby allies armor by +20. Use Frenzy when not taking damage. Use Favorable Winds unless you are up against a bunch of rangers. The other skills are just added bonus. |

Use a fiery bow string and Conjure Flame.
Use Judge's Insight and a vamp bow string. Always use Tiger's Fury. |

Huh? Maybe there are more types of barrage rangers but when playing a full barrage team i think using elem dmg string is a bad thing as the concept of a barrage team is based on piercing damage...
In a full 8 person barrage team you usually have: * 5 barrage rangers * 1 minion master (death necro) * 1 order (blood necro) * 1 monk A barrage ranger is usually a R/Mo as this allows them to use rebirth (a ress signet needs a moral boost to recharge). 2 of more rangers bring a spirit with them (Favorable Winds and Winnowing). Every ranger brings: * Barrage (duh) * Charm Animal * Confort Animal * Troll Urgent * Rebirth (or a ress signet) * 1 spirit or an interupt The rest of the slots are more free... personally i bring throw dirt and a trap, other may wanna bring a stance (whirling defense?) or whatever. The pets are used as tanks (and food for the minion master). The Minion master build an army of undead minions, to keep the enemies on a distance. The order helps to raise damage (order of pain), gain health with every hit (order of the vampire) and helps the monk with extra energy (Blood Ritual). Monk heals/protects the team... This concept is based on doing piercing damage... bringing a fiery bowstring f**ks up this concept :S |

Ok, maybe i misread it, but i read: "when i play barrage, i only use that skill and nothing else on my skillbar"... i dont think he meant "i wanna solo with it" or something else.
And explaining the basic barrage concept wont hurt... i still see too many rangers using elemental damage and/or prepartions in barrage teams :s |

Nobody was talking about barrage teams...
Outside brrage teams for Tombs ,when you take barrage it works the same way...Thats the skill you will be spamming and not really have time for other skills,so where is the misunderstandment. Good luck trying to solo with one of the builds one of us has suggested.( that is what you think we are telling him) |

for more dmg, take ele as second prof, then find a bow with fire magic. Then take the skil Conjure flame, as it is not a preparation if won't disappear when using Barrage. In this way you get dmg from barrage and conjure flame.
My skillbar looks like this. Conjure flame - Barrage - Dual Shot - Power Shot - Trol Urgent - Distracting Shot - Whirling Defense - Ress sig. It does nice dmg though. |

PvE: Res, Favorable Winds, Troll.
Most of the times I take 2 sometimes 3 interrupts. And one or two skill depending on the situation. When facing Wars/Rangers I interrupt their heals (Heal Sig / Troll). Otherwise, I'll interrupt the slower spells. I can see the surgested "Watch Yourself" as a valuable skill, will try that one myself sometime. |

As others have said - I go with Rt secondary and use Brutal Weapon
I do this over /Ele and the conjour element for 2 reasons 1) Conjour Ele is an enchantment and can be stripped ( Weapon spells cannot be stripped) 2) /Rt opens up a couple of Hard Rez's that you don't get with R/Ele |

My skill bar for Barrage
Barrage Splinter shot Dust trap (just put it down where you are at the moment for defence) Troll urgent free depending on secondary proff. Comfort animal Charm animal Rez just allternate barrage and Splinter shot, both do dmg to multiple targets |
